Held in September at the Javits Center, The Armory Show kicks off New York’s fall art season. A gateway to New York’s art scene, The Armory Show hosts the world’s leading galleries and links collectors and exhibitors with museums and institutions across the city.
At Queen’s, we are dedicated to providing best-in-class client service, with sustainability challenges at the forefront of our mind. Well aware of the challenges that our industry, and in particular the sub-sector of shipping within it, faces, we are continuously working towards becoming a more eco friendly fine art shipping company. We are delighted to have partnered with The Armory Show as their official Sustainable Shipping Partner and look forward to exploring more sustainable art fair shipping practices with exhibitors.
Together with Queen’s and The Armory Show, the Javits Center shares a commitment to sustainability, having recently installed a cutting-edge energy dashboard was also installed that allows designated engineers and employees to monitor consumption levels for electric, gas and water. This is combined with a state-of-the-art, nearly 7-acre green roof can absorb up to seven million gallons of stormwater run-off annually, while reducing heat gain throughout the building. With these new initiatives, the Javits Center ranks among the top companies to meet New York City’s Net-Zero by 2050.
